Upload an individual profile photo

The evidence is clear that the most successful musicians wanted ads (by far!) are always those where the advertiser goes to the trouble to upload an individual profile photo. Why is that? Because sight is one of our primary senses –we like to see who we are dealing with!

To add an individual profile photo -
Click MY PROFILE on the yellow MENU BAR which can be found on all pages.

Click the PHOTOS TAB.
Use ADD A PHOTO to upload photos.

Click 'Chose file' to select a photo stored on your computers hard drive.

When the photos have uploaded, click the SET PROFILE IMAGE BUTTON beneath the photo to be set as the PROFILE IMAGE.

This will set the individual PROFILE IMAGE on all MX pages.

Any photo on the individuals PHOTOS TAB can be nominated as the individual PROFILE IMAGE in the same way.

MX Pro-Tip! - Use different images
Different photos can be nominated for individual and Group profiles.

How to display band merchandise

The presentation of your merch stand is all important.

How you display your band clothing and band CD's will determine how much you sell, think about when you go into a clothes shop, if the stock is just piled up on a table you are not going to want to buy never mind how good the quality or the price of the item. It is all about persuading the customer (band fan) to part with their money.

Make sure your merch stand is well presented, if it looks like a jumble sale it will put customers off. Display the band Tee shirts folded with the shirt design visible have CD’s on the table so customers can see what is available.

Signage is also important. Ensure the display items are clearly priced. The signage for your display should be clear and easy to read, letting your customers know what is available, what shirt sizes are available (S, M, L, XL etc)

Most venues, especially clubs and pubs, will have reduced lighting making it difficult for a customer to see the band merch stand let alone what merchandise is being displayed, the key here is to ensure you carry lighting with the merch stand. Light the stand to make it a feature, allow the audience (your customers) to see what is available.
